My Nautical touches

I thought I would share a few of my own nautical touches I have in my house.  You don't have to have a lot in order to enjoy nautical design.  I love nautical design, but I don't currently have a room with that theme as a whole.  At one time I did have a bedroom with a nautical quilt, and nautical wall decor, and I also mixed it in with my adjoining bathroom, and I loved it!  But I now live in a different home, and I never did the whole nautical them again, but it's not to say I won't someday soon!

The glass bowl to the left has a nautical rope ball in it along with 2 twig balls and a variety of small seashells.

I have it sitting on my toaster oven, until I get my new kitchen table, then I might put the items in a large hurricane vase, and use it for a centerpiece along with some twine or nautical rope.

I have this photo and metal lighthouse figurine in my spare bedroom.  It's more of a "collect all" room...no bed.

The photograph was taken by a local photographer of a local lighthouse on Lake Michigan, and this lighthouse figurine has been in my collection for many, many years.

I love these together!  I have a lighthouse wall decor piece I might hang near these, too.

I placed this antiqued resin fish and resin lighthouse on a small shelf over my bathroom sink.  Even though the scale of the fish is large compared to the lighthouse, I love them together.

This fish is one of my favorite decor pieces in my home, and I got it on clearance for $1.99 at Hobby Lobby online!

My little sea turtle was another clearance item from Hobby Lobby.  I think I paid $2.99 for him, and he's adorable!

Right now I have him sitting on top of my microwave, but I would like to find a better place for him.
